how completely disappointing ~ mean people suck

it’s a question of trust

what do you do when your trust is betrayed?
when someone uses their knowledge of you
to intentionally hurt you?

what do you do
when your trust is betrayed
by those you counted on as friends
or colleagues?

what do you do when your trust is betrayed
intentionally?

it’s about choice really
you can rail against them
you can get angry
you can allow your feelings to be hurt

or you can take it under advisement
and learn a lesson

I’m trying to live my life
surrounded by a few choice people
that I know I can trust
the group used to be larger
hey…that’s life

I can control the external
portions of my life
and not associate
with those that hurt me

I’m not able to do so
in all areas of life though

there are some arenas
in which I am not allowed control
over whom I associate with

in the end
there’s nothing you can do
but move on
understand
that I cannot affect change
on anyone but myself

the lesson is learned
no one is trustworthy
no matter what.

to quote Dr Terry Cole Whittaker
“what you think of me is none of my business”

and to all you wee gossip hounds
that can’t stop yourself from
spreading the news

fuck off!
mean people suck

once more into the breach…

a week ago I upgraded to Windows 7
using the “windows safe transfer” tool windows provides

what they don’t tell us if you are upgrading from XP to 7 and missed/skipped Vista
there may be a wee bit o challenge

I ended up with 8 partitions
and not enough space left to unpack my files from the safe transfer

and when I logged into my computer
the OS kinda pulsated..
quite disconcerting…
and although W7 does not include outlook express
I was sure that Outlook as part of the full
MS Office suite would
but no go
all of which took 2 full days and evenings

so I spent the week only using it in safe mode
and got up bright and early this morning
to start over

this time
I’d spent some time on the phone with my cousin Paul
who advised me to clean boot it
and start over

so I did this morning at 7:30
and then I unpacked the safe transfer
which took
6+hours
and after all was said and done
I couldn’t unpack any of my software
cos there was only 17.7 gb left

after fretting over it for a while
I reformatted again
this time ending up with 4 partitions
but enough space in my main drive
to load software

I’m all good now
except for Outlook
apparently there are issues
but I’m too tired to research them tonight
maybe tomorrow
but not tonight…
