here I was thinking
that the 3 pay days in Oct
would dig me outta
the little hole
I was in
turns out
I spent almost
2000.00 more
than I should have
in the last 2 mths
frack!
it’s not like I got
a holiday in
or bought some large
piece of furniture….
sometimes it’s hell
living in the
Garden of Eden
the cost of livin
on this
not so little
island paradise
is killing me
I can’t get outta
the apartment
I live in
cos the cost of
homes is too high
I can’t
insure my trike
till my car is pd off
cos although I make
a decent wage
the car payments
have put me
over the edge
financially
I can’t put money away
for “Gathering” next summer
if every freakin cent I have
is tied up
in bill payments
rent
or groceries
I can’t eat the way I should
cos I simply can’t afford it right now
eating is also complicated
but the fact that I had my first
full on Crohn’s episode
in 6 years
this week
cos I’ve been changing
my diet
due to the diabetes
but
that’s changed now too
I’m back to eating
mostly complex carbs
to get the Crohn’s
back under control
I’m stymied
by life
I catch myself wondering
were does all the money go
I don’t eat in restraunts
I don’t buy booze or drugs
I don’t buy junk food
wtf?

in other news…
we got a couple of dumps
of snow this week
nothing really huge
but it brings lots
of this island
to a stand still
cos people are driving cars
with lightweight or bald
tires
and they forget
that in spite of the road
looking wet
it’s likely black ice
and end up in the rhubarb as a result
then there’s the whole
reports of
full on physical body searches
happening at major US airports
Ya?
I’m sorry
they’re gonna have to buy me
dinner and drinks
before that shit’s gonna happen
